Call for papers and publication

Oral and Poster Presentations

The program of the symposium will include plenary and keynote lectures, oral presentations as well as posters. Oral and poster contributions will be regarded as scientifically equivalent in the program.
All presentations (oral and posters) should be in English.
Poster or oral presentation will be accepted if at least one of the authors is registered and present at the symposium for personal communication.


Papers Publication

For oral and poster contributions, a one-page abstract should be submitted not later than September 30, 2014. Abstracts may only be submitted by e-mail, as an attached file, to the following address: eurosymposium@emasst.com with "abstract for European Symposium" as Subject.
The Abstract should be arranged as shown on the Word file.
Only abstracts of registered participants will be considered for acceptance, so please register before submitting the abstract.

The book of abstracts will be distributed in USB-stick or CD to all participants upon registration at the Symposium.
Poster or oral presentation will be accepted if at least one of the authors is registered and present at the symposium for personal communication.
The Steering Committee of the Symposium will notify the authors on the acceptance and on the form of presentation by October 15, 2014.

Participants could present the short papers at the symposium and they will be permanently archived in the eLibrary of the EMASST website where they are easily accessible to the international scientific community.
The short papers should be arranged as the abstract format and they don't exceed four pages (figures and references included).

In addition EMASST encourage and support to submit a full paper  to the special issue of the multidisciplinary peer-reviewed international journal "Surface and Interface of Materials". The Special Issue entitled "Trends in Material Surfaces Science & Technology" is dedicated to the activities presented to the Symposium. The book is published in paper and digital format and is widely distributed throughout the world. Papers will reference by CrossRef and regularly appear in notable databases, including referencing and abstracting services
