The Board of Directors

The EMASST government is entrusted to the Board of Directors which:

• directs  Association activities and is responsible for administrative management;
  

• prepares preliminary and final budgets for their submission to the General Assembly;
  

• prepares the annual report on the activities undertaken by the Association and prepares the program for social future activities;
  

• establishes the organic personnel for the operation of the Headquarters;
  

• administers the social publications, the website and appoints the Directors and Responsibles;
  

• exercises any other assignment requested by the Assembly;
  

• appoints the Technical Scientific Committee among members.

The Technical Scientific Committee

The Technical Scientific Committee is responsible for:

• the assessment, from scientific point of view, of information, news, announcements, publications and whatever the other members ask for posting on the EMASST website in order to promote the dissemination and transfer of information and knowledge;
  

• the organization of the biennial conference of the Association which will take place in rotation in each of the countries of the European Union;
  

• the assessment, from scientific point of view, of contributions (abstract) of the participants at the conference;
  

• acquisition of extensive contributions (scientific papers) of each participant and it assesses them according to the international auditing parameters used by leading scientific journals;
  

• the print of conference book containing all contributions assessed as eligible;
  

• Organization of seminars, workshops, discussions that will take place in locations indicated by the members of the Technical Scientific Committee or in the seats of members who provide their availability;
  

• any planning of sweepstakes for study and research;
  

• assessment of the qualification, expertise and the provision of tools, laboratories (both public and private) and systems industries, companies, organizations, research centers and universities who wish to qualify as a "Centre of the European Reference" on Surface Science.
  

The members of the Technical Scientific Committee should have particular expertise in the areas of science and technology surfaces in the fields of interest of the association:

Aeronautical and Aerospace;
Mechanical;
Electrical and Electronics;
Energy;
Biomedical;
Chemical.
